I take an online course to get a year ahead in math. Colleges don’t really care where you took a course as long as you score and test well. I take a course through BYU which sends my school a transcript to keep with my records.
Personally, if you are going to do an online course make sure you get a good textbook and have some real life teacher to talk to if needed. There are times when I want to punch my computer because the course may not be clear on how to divide polynomials for example. And you can’t ask the computer to clarify, you know?

There are numerous RYA day courses in the UK – the RYA being the group that runs official sailing events in the UK. Each course has its positives and great reasons to train with them, but very few offer the breadth and depth that Broadreach training can. There are five good reasons why you should come on a day skipper course with us.
” We are highly experienced – at Broadreach sailing; we’re highly experienced and take our sailing seriously – with a dash of fun. We know that it’s hard work learning the rules and regulations and all the safety points surrounding sailing in the UK, and we understand that not everyone enjoys that. So, we make your courses enjoyable and effective, without clouding your ability to have some fun. As long as you enjoy yourself you’ll learn more effectively.
” We are interested in the best training possible – we are constantly updating our own training methods and any other information that can help our clients.
Our team trains well, so that we can train our clients well. We believe this is essential to creating a fertile, supportive training environment for our skippers.
” We train year round – no matter what the weather and conditions, we’re happy to support you in learning in every condition possible. We train over five days to give you the breadth of experience you need.
” We are an ‘all inclusive’ course – we don’t charge for marina fees, fuel, food or anything else that should be included in your bill. We don’t pile on ‘optional’ extras that make the course less value for money than it should be, and we believe that our clear pricing structure gives our clients the best idea of what they’re getting for their money. We stand by the value of our skipper courses and believe that our clear pricing creates an atmosphere of trust and reliance that can’t be matched elsewhere.
” We’re accredited and supported by the RYA licencing authority – our courses are designed to get you licenced too. Whether you want to spend your time learning with us, or studying in other ways, we can guarantee that you’ll find our courses are the best value for money, and your time. The RYA licencing course for day skippers is designed to be easy to absorb without being overloading – our five day courses are specifically designed to give you as much hands on experience as possible.
